Chief Minister encourages industry association to invest in Jammu & Kashmir

The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, encouraged Indian industry to re-establish and revive their relationship with the state, at the 81st Annual General Meeting of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

According to an article in the Kashmir Observer ,the chief minister said the state has witnessed the most peaceful elections in the last two decades, people have ensured the success of the democratic process and that the state wants to be known for events other than violence. For this, he called on the support from the corporate sector.

FICCI assured Abdullah that the power-intensive industries group will explore possibilities of future investment in the State.
