Sensex closes above 10,000 mark

The Sensex closed above the psychological mark of 10,000 on 26 March after more than two and a half months. The gain was part of the worldwide rally. It is seen as a hopeful sign of risk aversion reversing, with the US currency’s depreciation leading to money moving out of sovereign securities to commodities and equities.
