More than forty years ago, Inder Lal and Gian Chand came together to form the first of the IG companies—Inder Lal Gian Chand & Co—that dealt in local fruits on an order-and-commission basis. But as soon as the government import regulations relaxed, they grabbed the opportunity and set up IG International in 2000 to enter the international trade of fruits.
